Codecademy All-Day Programming Session
Saturday, December 7th from 10AM-4PM in the Technology Center
We'll be hosting an all-day programming session where we'll use Codecademy to learn basic web design and application programming. There will be more senior members there to help so no worries if you've never coded before. People of all levels of experience are welcome and encouraged to come out! So if you want to learn how to build your own website, come out on Saturday!

BizTech@Wharton MBA Conference
Friday, November 22nd from 8AM-4PM at Union League of Philadelphia
University of Pennsylvania's 18th Annual Business Technology Conference. This year, the theme is "Beyond Connected." Conference will include 3 keynote speakers: Shiva Rajaraman (Director of Product at YouTube), Ned Brody (SVP and Head of the Americas at Yahoo!), and Jacqueline Reses (Chief Development Officer at Yahoo!).
Following will be panels on the latest industry trends: Big Data, Education Technology, Enterprise Trends, Wearable Technology, Shared Economies, and 3D Printing. There will also be one-on-one coffee chats and networking with leading companies and start-ups.

Discover how they use their information systems to support day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity to see a real-life SAP implementation as well as information technologies in practice!

We'll be hosting a panel of four wonderfully talented MIS experts: Professor Metzger, Rob Malta, Karl Li, and Caroline Turpin. They will be discussing various topics such as the value that the MIS major will add to your resumes/interviews, how the MIS major differs from other VSB majors, the personalities that fit well with the MIS major, and the possible career paths that come from having this major. For all you underclassmen, this is your chance to learn more about MIS and to talk about it with the upperclassmen who were in your shoes not too long ago. So grab a friend, and come see what it's all about!

Several EY professionals and the EY recruiter will be on campus to conduct resume reviews for the MIS Society members. Many of the professionals were Villanova alumni who majored in MIS and so will be able to provide insightful critique to the students’ resumes. Sign up soon as spots are limited!
